It had been closed down for about one and one half years.

The original Galivants Ferry Convenience store was built in 1869 and served as a naval store for passersby and fisherman. The original front porch and white wooden roofing was restored and placed inside the current convenience store. Among the things restored were the bathrooms which feature brand new lighting, plumbing and solid granite counter tops. A renovated grill area with a short order cook will serve food.
