Miss AHSThis past Thursday night, Aynor High School held its annual Miss Aynor High School Beauty Pageant.  Everyone was welcomed to the event by Aynor High’s principle, Marion Shaw, who then introduced the mistress of ceremonies for the night, Amy Brown.  Brown is a past Miss Aynor High, and was applauded for her past achievement.  Brown then welcomed all once again, and then introduced our candidates.  Next came the introduction of last year’s Miss Aynor High School, Fallen Mew.  Mew gave all the contestants a few words of wisdom, and then left the stage till the award ceremony.  Next came some entertainment by Victoria Lambert, a freshman at Aynor High School.  Once Lambert left the stage and was given praise, the evening gown competition began.  First, was our freshman contestants, and then our sophomores, then our juniors, and then finally, our seniors.  The crowd roared and cheered on their candidate as they strutted across the stage showing off the beautiful gowns. The contestants then left the stage and made way for the next round of entertainment of the night.  When all was done, Fallon Mew returned to the stage once again for her farewell, and then for the award ceremony.  First was Miss Photogenic, which was awarded to Makela Rae Toth.  Next came the unveiling of Aynor High’s Class Queens, which were Emilie Lambert for ninth grade, Danielle Shelley for tenth grade, Noelle Crawford for eleventh grade, and Erica King for twelfth.  Finally, the big revealing of the new Miss Aynor High School was up.  All of our girls waited in agony as they waited to hear the name be read off the envelope naming Aynor High’s new queen.  Miss Alison Larrimore name was read from the paper inside.  Tears sparkled in our new Miss Aynor High School’s eyes.  What a beautiful moment in this young girl’s life.AHS Winners
